THE Singapore Tourism Board is offering Malaysian tourists free shuttle service from the Johor Baru City Square (JBCS) to the Meridien Shopping Centre in Singapore from now until Jan 1.
To qualify for the service, they have to register in person at the Singapore Visitor Centre at Level 2, Johor Baru City Square, prior to departure time on the day they want to enter Singapore.

Seats are on "first-come, first served" basis.

Those who use this service are also eligible to take part in the weekly lucky draws, where prizes worth a total of S$300 (RM700) can be won.

A S$5 shopping voucher will be given for every second ride on the service while those who spend S$100 and above at Robinsons, Marks & Spencer or John Little are entitled to a 15 per cent rebate.

All passengers are also entitled to a free fun double-decker open-top bus ride around the city.

The first batch of lucky draw winners are Lai Lee Chin, who won S$150 worth of gifts, and Tan Miau Hong, Lau Yoke Chan and Azharmawati Abdul Aziz, who each won S$50 worth of gifts.

STB area director (southern and eastern Malaysia) Alfred Poon said the free shuttle service was aimed at making it easier for Malaysians to visit the republic, especially during the school holidays.

"We have done this for the past two years. This year, we are offering more incentives to entice Malaysians to visit the republic," he said.

The shuttle service will depart from the JBCS at 10.30am, 11am, noon and 1.30pm and return from Meridien Hotel at 8pm, 9.30pm, 10.30pm and 11pm.
